WELCOME MEMBERS AND POTENTIAL MEMBERS,

The Air Brake Association is a not-for-profit educational organization founded in 1893. The ABA’s mission is to educate, engage, and establish an open dialog to advance safety and, ultimately, the success of the rail industry.  In addition to ensuring the ongoing preservation of vital technical information related to air brakes, the forum provided by the ABA has allowed for dissemination of knowledge and new ideas, both of which have played an important and integral part in the development and advancement of technology throughout the history of the rail industry.

The ABA membership includes people from all sectors of the railways industry, and brings together key resources, stakeholders, and interested parties from all levels and disciplines.  For more information on membership see the membership form below.

Thank You

Bruce McConnell
Secretary/Treasurer

RSI 2020 Expo & Education Conference Update

In light of the ongoing public health risks surrounding in person events and the safety of travel as a result of COVID-19, the Railway Supply Institute has decided to cancel the 2020 RSI Expo & Education Conference scheduled for September 9-11 in Chicago, Illinois. In lieu of the event, RSI is exploring the possibility of holding a limited number of education sessions through a virtual platform and will provide additional information in the coming weeks.

The five phase reopening plan outlined by Illinois Governor JB Pritzker bans large scale gathering from moving forward until a vaccine or highly effective treatment for virus becomes widely available, or that no new cases are recorded over a sustained period, a situation that appears highly unlikely to occur by this September.

"RSI is committed to providing a safe environment for our members, education partners, exhibitors, and attendees, and the current public health environment has made clear that it will not be possible for us to hold this event as planned," said RSI President Mike O'Malley. "On behalf of the RSI Board of Directors and staff, we are grateful for your patience and loyalty as we navigate this challenging time together. RSI will continue to support the rail supply industry and the railroad customers we serve."

Exhibitors who have already made payment will be given the option of transferring it to exhibit space at Railway Interchange 2021 or receiving a full refund.

We look forward to seeing all our regular exhibitors and attendees at the RSI Conference at Railway Interchange next year in Indianapolis from September 25-28, 2021.
